The Cayce Police Department announces events for the 4-Day National Faith & Blue Initiative

In conjunction with National Crime Prevention Month, the Cayce Police Department will kick the weekend off by hosting the following events to celebrate the national Faith & Blue initiative beginning October 6.

Faith and Blue is a weekend event with the purpose of helping law enforcement and the community connect to create safer, stronger neighborhoods.

Friday, October 6: Coffee with a Cop
7 – 9 AM at the following Cayce locations:
Starbucks: 728 Knox Abbott Drive
Piecewise: 2001 State Street
Lizards Thicket: 501 Knox Abbott Drive

Saturday, October 7: Cayce Fall Festival
11- 6:00 PM at Granby Garden’s Park, located at 1800 12th Street in Cayce

Sunday, October 8: Breakfast with Cayce officers
8:30 AM – Breakfast at Cayce United Methodist Church, 1600 12th Street
12:30 PM – Lunch provided by Biblical House of God at Cayce Police Headquarters

Monday, October 9: March Against Crime
5:30 – 7:00 PM at the Cayce Police Department, located at 2 Lavern Jumper Road in Cayce
*All participants will gather at the front door of headquarters and be ready to walk by 5:40 PM. We encourage you to wear any shade of blue. We will begin with a prayer, walk, have light refreshments, and end with prayer.

Cayce Police Chief, Chris Cowan stated, “Being a part of the national movement of the Faith & Blue Weekend is important to all of us in Cayce as it brings together law enforcement and local citizens to continue building connections and partnerships.”
