The City of Cayce and the Cayce Police Department announces a new community partnership with Jim Hudson Automotive Group

April 13, 2022

The details of the ongoing partnership and the donation of E-Bikes and the use of E-technology (E- Speed Trailers, E-Cameras), by the Police Department will be held on April 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Cayce Riverwalk Park, located at 201 Naples Avenue in Cayce.
Speakers will be Cayce Police Chief, Chris Cowan; Cayce Mayor, Elise Partin; Mike Dawson, Executive Director of The River Alliance; and Jim Hudson of Jim Hudson Automotive. Jim Hudson Automotive Group has already donated three e-bikes to the Cayce Police Department! Also, we are proud to say that our Cayce Public Safety Foundation donated one of the new solar powered speed trailers!

Mayor Elise Partin stated, “We are so thankful for our newest City partner, Jim Hudson Automotive Group. As a leader in the business community in the Midlands region, Jim selected Cayce because like us, he believes in community policing and in being a good steward of the environment.”

Police Chief Chris Cowan stated, “Technology continues to evolve policing, globally. It is incredibly important, and becoming increasingly more necessary, for police to utilize every tool possible to care for our cities. Unique to Cayce is our pursuit of E-Tech to policing efforts, adding solar power and electric resources. This allows us to lessen our impact on the environment, reduce costs to taxpayers and increase the speed and length of time we can deploy resources – all an integral part of our effort to continue to make Cayce a safe place to live, work and play.”
