The City of Columbia’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement awarded Opioid Recovery Fund
January 30, 2025The City of Columbia Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (formerly the Office of Violent Crime Prevention) was awarded funding from the South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund (SCORF) to combat the opioid epidemic.
The SCORF project funds are already at work as the City approved professional service contracts with A Second Chance Resource Center Network United Inc. and The Courage Center. The SCORF project funds treatment and recovery, prevention programming, trainings, case management and referral services, in addition to research resources to address the opioid overdoes in Columbia.
