The Columbia Film Society is a nonprofit center for independent film that promotes community dialogue by showcasing films that challenge, inspire, and entertain and by providing the tools to make and interpret media. CFS realizes this mission through its two arms, the Nickelodeon Theatre (the Nick), the only independent art house cinema in SC and Indie Grits Labs (IGL), which focuses on the creation of new media artwork, media education and the Indie Grits Film Festival.
