The Fashion Group International® of Charleston, Inc. Comes to Charleston, South Carolina

CHARLESTON, SC – November 25, 2010 – The Fashion Group International®, one of the most recognized international fashion organizations in the world has come to Charleston, South Carolina.  The original founding members of the organization headquartered in New York included first lady Eleanor Roosevelt, former Vogue Editor-In-Chief Edna Woolman Chase, and beauty legend Elizabeth Arden.  Its mission is to be the pre-eminent authority on the business of fashion and design and to help its members become more effective in their careers.  To do this FGI provides insights on major trends in person, online and in print; access to business professionals and a gateway to the influence fashion plays in the marketplace.

Rosanna L. Krekel is the founding force behind the launch of The Fashion Group International® of Charleston, Inc. With Ms. Krekel’s extensive experience in Executive Management in publishing and advertising working with fashion, retail, beauty & home clients.  She has served the community for over 20 years with a resume that includes the launch Publisher of Life & Style Weekly to Vice President of the luxury lifestyle Robb Report to Fashion Director at Rolling Stone Magazine to Executive Beauty Director at Glamour Magazine. 

Ms. Krekel serves as the Regional Director of the founding Charleston Board which includes: Marshall Simon, Owner & President of Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant, Linda Burnside, Owner & Designer of LGB Interiors, Anna Lassiter, Fashion Designer of Lassitera Designs, Robert Butt, Owner of Marketing Performance, Katie Kern Founder of Circa PR, Natasha Shamdasani-Madan Creative of Taashki Handbags, Michael Mitchell Executive Director of Michael Mitchell Interiors, Angharad Chester-Jones, Marketing at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort and Sarah DiGangi Assistant Vice President of SunTrust Bank.
