The Harlem Amassadors bouncing in to Batesburg-Leesville

February 2, 2009

BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, SC – February 2, 2009 – The Harlem Ambassadors will bounce into Batesburg-Leesville Saturday, March 7, 6 p.m., at the B-L High School Gymnasium, 600 Summerland Ave. This high-energy team will deliver an anti-gang message as it combines riotous on-court antics with awesome ball-handling skills to provide wholesome entertainment for young and old alike.

Facing the Ambassadors will be the “Gang Busters,” a plucky group composed of enthusiastic players from the B-L Police Department and other area law enforcement agencies.

Proceeds from the game will be donated to the county’s Gang Awareness Program. Business and individual sponsorships are available: $200, 10 free tickets; $100, five free tickets.

Game tickets, available at Wiz’s Eatery, Wiz’s Southern Convenience (two stores), Economy Furniture and the chamber office, are $5. Ages four and under will be admitted free. A raffle will be held for the chance to win a basketball autographed by the Harlem Ambassadors. Raffle tickets, $1 each, will be sold prior to the game at the chamber office, as well as during the game itself.
