The Old Cigar Warehouse to recognize Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality with special ceremonies for LGBT couples

GREENVILLE, SC – The Old Cigar Warehouse will be hosting six, free wedding ceremonies this Saturday, July 4, in honor of the Supreme Court’s ruling that fully legalized same-sex marriages.

The ceremonies are on a first-come, first serve basis and include flowers, a wedding officiant, music by a DJ, cupcakes and a celebratory champagne toast, said Tammy Johnson, owner of The Old Cigar Warehouse. Couples are able to bring up to 20 guests with the ceremonies taking place in 30-minute blocks starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m.

“We are partnering with other wedding vendors to share in this historic Supreme Court ruling because for so-long LGBT couples have not had this opportunity,” Johnson said. “This is also a great opportunity for those who have already had a commitment ceremony, but now would like to have a legal ceremony.”

The wedding package includes:

  • 10 minute ceremony from Danielle Baker, Your Wedding Lady.
  • Indoor ceremony location with seating for 20 guests at The Old Cigar Warehouse.
  • Free ceremony photography from Todd Williams with Magnolia Studios.
  • Ceremony music and sound from Uptown Entertainment.
  • Your choice of two bouquets or boutonnieres from Tailor & Table.
  • Congratulatory champagne toast and cupcakes from Liquid Catering and Couture Cake.

“We feel that this is a great moment for us to show support to these couples and let them celebrate without fear of intolerance or prejudice,” Johnson said.
