The Palmetto Bank Hires Chief Information Officer

GREENVILLE, SC – May 6, 2011 – The Palmetto Bank announced today that Mark A. Terry has been hired as the Chief Information Officer with overall responsibility for managing all technology and deposit operations functions. “Mark is another seasoned addition to the outstanding senior management team we have assembled at The Palmetto Bank,” said Samuel L. Erwin, President and Chief Executive Officer. “He has extensive experience and expertise in the areas of information technology, strategic business planning, and operations management that will contribute further to our long and rich heritage of providing outstanding customer service. With the addition of Mark to our team, we have further strengthened our ability to continue the focus on successfully implementing our strategic objectives for the future.”

In a career spanning 20 years, Mr. Terry most recently served as Chief Information Officer and a member of the Board of Directors for Forcht Group of Kentucky.  During his tenure in senior executive positions at the Forcht Group, Mr. Terry developed deep expertise in providing support to financial services, insurance, construction, real estate and retail subsidiaries, bringing expansive knowledge to advance technology, operations and service delivery to improve the overall client experience and profitability.  Mr. Terry also developed expertise in mergers and acquisitions and the related integration and system conversions. 

Mr. Terry holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
