The Palmetto Bank Hosted 7th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon

GREENVILLE, SC – May 16, 2011 – The Palmetto Bank’s seventh annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon was held at The Palmetto Bank Corporate Headquarters in Greenville, SC on May 9, 2011.  Keynote speaker Congressman Trey Gowdy spoke on several topics including the importance of law enforcement’s voice in pending legislation, challenges he faced during his first year in Congress, our nation’s trillion dollar deficit and its effect on the economic structure, and how the Patriot Act led to the discovery of Osama Bin Laden.

“We look forward to hosting this luncheon each year,” said Derrick Copeland, VP, Chief Security Officer and Fraud Investigator.  “It gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation for the superior service and dedication the men and women of law enforcement have provided the bank and local communities over the years.”

The luncheon was attended by more than 60 officers including police chiefs, sheriffs, and federal law enforcement officers from across the Upstate.
