The Palmetto Bank Promotes Commercial Banker in the Greenwood, South Carolina Market

GREENVILLE, SC – The Palmetto Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Palmetto Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLMT), announced that Matt Babb has been promoted to Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager serving Greenwood and Abbeville Counties in South Carolina. Mr. Babb is responsible for loan and deposit production, providing qualified referrals to other lines of business, maintaining asset quality and business development.

Mr. Babb joined The Palmetto Bank in 2007 as Branch Manager and most recently served as a Business Banker. He is a graduate of Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science. He is also a graduate of the South Carolina Bankers School sponsored by the S.C. Bankers Association in cooperation with Lander University. He is a resident of Greenwood and member of the Kiwanis Club of Greenwood.
