January 24, 2022

The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art is currently accepting entries for its poster design competition. The selected image will be used in promotional materials, including a poster and tee shirts that will be sold during the 31st annual festival.

The image should reflect the concept and mission of the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art, depicting the Lowcountry, art, and music. Only original material, not previously exhibited in any Horry or Georgetown County or City program, may be submitted by the artist or the artist’s representative. All graphic media including paint, markers, photography, digital art, crayons, and chalk are acceptable. The size should not exceed 36” x 36” and should be designed in a vertical format. The words “Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art” should not appear on the image.

Artists will be divided into one of three categories: 8th grade and below, 9-12th grades, and adult. Each artist may submit two entries.

The winning art will be selected by a team of professional judges for its design qualities and marketability.  The selected artist will be notified no later than April 15, 2022 and will be recognized as the official artist of the 2022 Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art.

Entries must be delivered to Strand Media Group’s offices located at 14363 Ocean Hwy, Unit 9, Litchfield Exchange by April 8th. For more information or to obtain an entry form, visit PawleysMusic.com.
