The Poinsett Bride announces new ownership under Paige Gillespie

The Poinsett Bride, a full-service bridal destination located at 101 West Court Street in downtown Greenville, recently announced new ownership. Paige Gillespie, who purchased the business in October 2021, intends to retain the same intimate feel and service-focused culture that the store has operated under since originally opening in 2005.
Raised in South Carolina, many may know Gillespie through her previous career in public accounting. But when her love of fashion and the opportunity to put her experience as an entrepreneur to work collided, she couldn’t turn it down.
“I had a career in business and finance for about 15 years, and have always been quite entrepreneurial at heart,” Gillespie said. “My dream has long been to become a small business owner myself with a fabulous team of talented women to work alongside every day to make brides’ dreams come true. With my business sense and love for weddings and all things beautiful, this was a perfect fit for me.”
Gillespie is thrilled to be part of the Greenville community helping debutantes, brides, mothers of the bride, and mothers of the groom find the perfect dress that makes them feel beautiful. She looks forward to growing those customers into lifelong clients and friends.
Gillespie is very excited about The Poinsett Bride’s bi-annual sample sale happening November 22 through November 27. “We have so many beautiful bridal gowns, this is a wonderful opportunity for recently engaged brides to find their perfect dress.” Bridal gowns included in the sample sale are reduced by 50-70% off of retail. The sale is by appointment only Monday-Friday 10-5:30pm and Saturday 10-4pm. The Poinsett Bride is closed on Thanksgiving Day.
