The Riviera, an iconic theater located in the heart of downtown Charleston, is hosting a jam-packed lineup of performances through the end of the year with tickets on sale now. From a two-night show with The Revivalists, to notable indie rock band Mt. Joy, and festive holiday shows, the fall and winter season at The Riviera is sure to be a spectacular experience. Nationally-renowned performing artists have hit the stage at The Riviera Theater all year long as the historic motion picture theater is brought to life at 227 King Street.

A wide variety of performances will be happening through December including a award-winning comedy podcast And That’s Why We Drink, folk, hip-hop, and contemporary artist Mat Kearney, and standup comedian, writer, and filmmaker Joe Pera, to name a few. The holiday show lineup features a festive performance from singer and actress Debbie Gibson, as well as a “Coming Home for Christmas” show with platinum-selling Phil Vassar, and The Riviera’s very own inaugural Christmas special “Riviera’s Rockin’ Holiday Special” with The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra benefiting Meeting Street Schools.

“We’re excited to bring not only concerts, but comedy and live shows to The Riviera through the end of the year,” said Aaron Rowland, operations manager of The Riviera. “It’s been a fun process to infuse the liveliness back to this historic theater and bring in community members and visitors from all ages and backgrounds to experience a show here.”

For each performance, doors open one hour before show time begins for guests to enjoy cocktails and concessions at the third floor rooftop bar overlooking King Street. The theater offers a combination of stadium seating, intimate table seating, and premier front row floor seating bringing full capacity to 600 for a truly spectacular experience. The history of the theater transports you back to an era of style, elegance, and hospitality.
