The SC Alliance to Fix Our Roads President, Bill Ross, issued the following statement

In response to the House Ways and Means Committee approving H.3516

The South Carolina House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee gave a key approval today for a plan to fix the state’s crumbling roads and bridges. The budget-writing committee passed H. 3516 unanimously.

The SC Alliance to Fix Our Roads President, Bill Ross, issued the following statement:

“This is a very positive step in fixing our roads and bridges. We commend the Ways and Means Committee for taking this critical step in passing a comprehensive road funding plan and we hope that the momentum will continue to the full House of Representatives.”

“There is no doubt that the issue of fixing and improving our roads is one of the greatest issues facing our state. SCFOR will continue to work with the public and legislature on passing comprehensive infrastructure funding legislation. South Carolina can’t afford to wait another year.”
