Get ready to fire up your appetite and mark your calendars—the Southeastern BBQ Showdown is returning to Columbia, South Carolina on April 24–25, 2026, at a new location–Gamecock Park! Hosted by the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board, this signature two-day event promises an unforgettable experience filled with award-winning barbecue, live music, and Southern hospitality, all set against the vibrant backdrop of the University of South Carolina’s Williams Brice Stadium at Gamecock Park.
Following the resounding success of the inaugural event in 2024, which garnered national attention and a two-part TV series that aired on the FanDuel Sports Network (formerly Bally Sports), and a forthcoming feature on the Cooking Channel on April 19 (Part 1) and 26 (Part 2), 2025 at 7 p.m. EST. Fans are encouraged to tune in to watch a tantalizing preview of the mouthwatering BBQ competition and thrilling experiences planned for 2026.
At a press conference held on April 16, 2025, the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board announced the return of the Southeastern BBQ Showdown to Columbia, SC, April 24-25, 2026 at a new location–Gamecock Park. “The Southeastern BBQ Showdown is more than just a food sport competition—it’s a celebration of Southern culture, flavor, and hospitality,” said Miriam Atria, President/CEO of Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board. “We’re proud to bring this world-class event back to Columbia and showcase all that our region has to offer. From the energy of Gamecock Park to the incredible pitmasters and entertainment, this event will once again put South Carolina on the national stage.”
The competition will feature top-tier teams battling it out for major titles, prizes, and bragging rights. The event will also include a vendor expo, interactive exhibits, live music, and BBQ sampling throughout the two-day event. Tickets will go on sale in the fall.
