The Springs at Simpsonville to add 13 units

November 13, 2014

SIMPSONVILLE, SC – The Springs at Simpsonville is undertaking an expansion that will allow it to better serve residents for years to come.

Officials with this award-winning senior living community near downtown Simpsonville broke ground Wednesday afternoon on a new wing that will add 13 assisted living rooms/apartments and a spacious activity social hall. In addition, they held a tour of three independent living cottages that are currently under construction.

The new assisted living apartments will be completed by July 2015, said Jim DeWitt, the community’s executive director. The apartments will be a mix of private two bedroom, large single bedroom and studio apartments.

The new rooms will be replete with the kinds of advanced technology and caregiving capabilities that put adult children at ease with the wellbeing of their parents, he said. This is the community’s second expansion in the past three years.

“We see our groundbreaking as an extension of our commitment to people and to each other,” DeWitt said.
