Entrepreneurs and the creative businesses they create is the focus of a new professional development program at the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship <http://www.cofc.edu/~tate> , specifically designed for artists, performers, designers, and other creative entrepreneurs who want to develop better business skills.  The program uses proven curricula developed by NxLeveL® , the premier entrepreneurial training program in the United States, designed to teach best practices for small businesses. This base training program has been adapted to meet the unique skills and needs of entrepreneurs in creative businesses.  Although more than 160,000 entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and small business owners have completed NxLeveL® courses, this is the first program that focuses exclusively on business concepts for creative entrepreneurs.

“Throughout the world, creative entrepreneurs are playing an increasingly important role in their communities” said Dr. John E. Clarkin, Ph.D., Director of the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship. “We’ve developed a series of courses specifically designed for creative individuals to help them take their businesses to the next level.”
