The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment is selling luminaries to Light It Up Blue on World Autism Awareness Day

March 25, 2021

The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment invites the community to purchase or sponsor luminaries to light on Friday, April 2 at 8:00 p.m. outside of homes or businesses in honor of World Autism Awareness Day.

“Light It Up Blue is a celebration of the autism community and the progress that we can make towards acceptance, inclusion, self-determination, and the opportunity for achievement of the highest possible quality of life, if we all come together,” said Anslie Patrick, The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment Executive Director.

Each luminary kit includes 10 luminaries for $20 and can be purchased here. Some of the luminaries have been decorated by children at The Unumb Center. By sharing a photo on social media of their luminaries, tagging @UnumbCenter, and adding the hashtag #LightItUpBlue, participants will be entered to win a Unumb Center swag bag.

Once purchased, luminary kits can be picked up at The Unumb Center, 1505 Blanding Street, Columbia, SC 29201 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Sponsored kits will be sent home with the children at The Unumb Center.
