The Village Group announces The Andy Quattlebaum Tour de Plantersville and opens registration for 2026 event

The Village Group officially announced The Andy Quattlebaum Tour de Plantersville during a press conference held Tuesday, June 30 at White House Farms, celebrating the continued support of community leader and philanthropist Andy Quattlebaum while opening registration for the 2026 event.
Scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, The Andy Quattlebaum Tour de Plantersville will bring together cyclists, families, businesses, and community members for a day of recreation, culture, and community impact in Georgetown County.
The annual event showcases the rich history and scenic beauty of the Plantersville community through cycling routes designed for riders of varying experience levels. The event culminates in the The Abie & Dorethia Ladson Cultural Festival, a free event featuring live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks, family activities, and community celebration.
“We are honored to recognize the family of Andy Quattlebaum for their unwavering commitment to our community and his support of The Village Group’s mission,” said Ray Funnye, Executive Director of The Village Group. “Their investment in this event helps us create meaningful opportunities for residents while celebrating the culture, heritage, and future of Plantersville.”
Proceeds from the event support The Village Group’s work to strengthen communities through youth development, educational enrichment, cultural preservation, and economic opportunity as well as support the Capital Campaign for the development of the new Cultural Complex.
“It is a privilege to support an event that brings people together while highlighting the history and promise of this community,” said Paul Quattlebaum, Andy’s brother and a board member with the Andy Quattlebaum and Blackwell Family Foundation. “The Tour de Plantersville has become a meaningful tradition, and I am proud to be part of its continued growth and impact.”
Participants may choose from multiple route options that highlight Georgetown County’s unique landscapes and historic communities. Riders of all skill levels are encouraged to participate.
Registration for The Andy Quattlebaum Tour de Plantersville is now open. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available for businesses and community members interested in supporting the event.
