The Xtra Inch announces 2017 First Choice Fit® Marcus Lattimore Football Camps

Community health fairs offered to campers and the public at no charge

The Xtra Inch, in partnership with the First Choice Medicaid health plan, will hold four First Choice Fit® Marcus Lattimore youth football camps in South Carolina for boys and girls ages 5-17. First Choice Fit camps also feature a community health fair offered to campers, their families, and the public at no charge. Registration for all camps cost $25 and is open at www.marcuslattimore.com. The first 25 First Choice members to register for each camp will receive full scholarships that cover all costs.

First Choice health plan members should call 1-843-569-4643 to pre-register. First Choice health plan membership will be verified and camp scholarships are limited to one per First Choice member, per year.

“First Choice Fit camps improve football skills in a positive and encouraging environment while also challenging youth to develop as individuals,” said Lattimore. “Good health, strong values, dignity, and respect are the keys to success on and off the field.”

Each camp runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Camp sign-in and health fair activities for camp participants begin at

8 a.m. Body composition (height, weight and waist), body mass index (BMI) and BMI percentile will be offered to all ages. Total body fat percentage will be available for ages 10 and older. Football drills begin at 9 a.m. Health fair screenings will be available to the public from 9 a.m. to noon. Closing remarks and lunch begin at 1:15 p.m.

Lattimore will also conduct a private fitness boot camp for Select Health employees, 1 to 4 p.m., April 29, at Harmon Field. Lattimore and his team of coaches will lead participants in wellness activities to promote overall health and physical fitness, including strength, agility, and speed.
