The YMCA of Columbia Announces New Youth Program Director of Lexington Family YMCA, Savanah Standifer

COLUMBIA, SC  – The YMCA of Columbia welcomes Savanah Standifer as new Youth Program Director at the Lexington Family YMCA.

Standifer has experience initiating and expanding YMCA programs that will be a valuable asset to the Lexington Family YMCA and the YMCA of Columbia’s youth development programs as a whole.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Lexington Family YMCA,” said Standifer. “The Lexington branch is rich with outdoor beauty and I am thrilled to be able to bring our youth to discover all that Lexington has to offer!”

At the Lexington Family YMCA, she will focus on increasing participation, retention, program quality and overall member experience in youth program areas, as well as building positive relationships with volunteers and parents.

Standifer comes from YMCA of Ponca City, Oklahoma, where she most recently has served as their Youth, Family & Sports Director since 2010 and has been working with children at the Y since 2004 as a Summer Camp Counselor and Teen Camp Coordinator.

Standifer graduated from the University of Monticello, Ark. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education/Coaching.
