Join us at the Central Energy Building on Thursday, September 23, 2021, for Therapalooza: The Greatest Show in Soda City benefiting The Therapy Place, Inc. With over three hundred of Columbia’s best and brightest under one roof, the evening will surely bring laughter, smiles, good memories and the opportunity to raise funds to support the great mission of The Therapy Place. Heavy hors d’oeuvres, beverages, live & silent auctions, entertainment from the Reggie Sullivan Band, and your favorite childhood circus acts will be sure to add to the night’s affair!
Funds raised from this event provide financial assistance to families for their children to receive life-changing therapies and services at The Therapy Place. The Therapy Place offers physical, occupational, and speech therapies for midlands children with special needs, a one-of-a-kind therapeutic preschool, and family support services.

About The Therapy Place, Inc.
Dawn Darby, Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Therapy Place, Inc. , and Susan Abell, Co-Founder, sought programs for their sons with cerebral palsy and could only find those innovative services hours away from Columbia. And in March of 2008, they formed The Therapy Place as a nonprofit, 501(c)3. After two years of fundraising and providing therapy camps at Trinity Episcopal Church and Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, a permanent facility was found in our current location in Forest Acres. The vision from the start has been to see that all children with special needs will have every opportunity to pursue their goals, realize their dreams, and reach their full potential. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapies for children with special needs and developmental delays. We provide a year-round therapeutic preschool program for children ages 2-6 with developmental delays. We provide fun family days, educational workshops, support groups, respite, and so much for as a wrap-around service for our families. Lastly, we offer the TheraSuit Method, provided by physical therapists certified in the TheraSuit Method.
