They Don’t Make ‘Em Like ‘Big Don’ Anymore

Don Fulmer was a produce man and a sports fan.

He died recently at age 78. There was much more to “Big Don” than all the lettuce, tomatoes and watermelons he sold over the years at Wilson’s Curb Market and Don’s PDQ.

“Big Don” loved the Atlanta Braves and the Clinton Red Devils. He was at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium on the night in 1974 when Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run. Aaron died a few days after “Big Don” did.
