Thomas W. Epting Awarded Meritorious Service Medal By Air Force JAG

GREENVILLE, SC – Smith Moore Leatherwood announced that attorney Thomas W. Epting has been awarded the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters for outstanding service to the United States as a reserve Judge Advocate for the 20th Fighter Wing, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.

At Smith Moore Leatherwood, Epting primarily practices in the areas of intellectual property, patents, trademarks and copyrights, technology, and corporate and business transactions. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Patent Examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He was also a member of the Board of Managers of the Carolina Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Law Association.

Epting graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University.
