Three Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey attorneys honored as Greenville’s Legal Elite

James Bannister, the Managing Partner of Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey, LLC, along with firm partner Bruce Bannister and associate Jack McDonald have been named to the 2016 Greenville Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. The Legal Elite is composed of attorneys in the Upstate who were nominated by their peers as “the best and most well-respected in their field.”
James Bannister’s practice consists of criminal defense, white-collar criminal defense and DUI defense in Upstate South Carolina. In addition to being named among the Legal Elite for his expertise in criminal law, Bannister has consistently been named among South Carolina Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Federal Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, South Carolina Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and National Board of Trial Advocacy. As an active member of the community, Bannister currently serves on the Board of Governors for the South Carolina Bar and as Commissioner for Greenville Water.
Bruce Bannister was named among the Legal Elite in the practice of Family Law. As a firm partner, he practices Family Law and Real Estate Law. In addition to his private practice, Bannister serves as the SC House District 24 Representative since 2005, where he sits on the Judiciary Committee and was elected House Majority Leader. His other accolades include Leadership Greenville Class XXVI graduate, Liberty Fellowship Class of 2014 graduate, board member of the Children’s Museum of the Upstate and the Andrews Society of Greenville, and recipient of the 2011 Children’s Hospital Legislative Advocacy Award.
Jack McDonald was tapped as a Real Estate Law Legal Elite. McDonald is an associate at Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey, and focuses on commercial and residential real estate transactions. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar Association in 2000 after receiving his law degree from the University of South Carolina. McDonald is a Greenville native and continues to remain active within the community.
