Three finalists named for executive vice president at The Citadel

CHARLESTON, SC – February 18, 2011 – Three finalists have been named for the position of executive vice president for finance, administration and operations at The Citadel.
The finalists are:
- Thomas J. Elzey, senior vice president for finance, chief fiscal officer, and treasurer at Drexel University
- Eugene A. Gilchrist, associate vice president/executive vice president, Health Affairs at the University of Louisville
- Ashok K. Roy, assistant vice president for financial services/CFO, Kennesaw State University
The candidates visited campus in the fall.Reporting to Citadel PresidentLt. Gen. John W. Rosa, the new executive vice president is TheCitadel’s senior, non-academic VP and functions as the college’s chiefoperations officer. The person selected will supervise the vicepresidents for facilities and engineering and external affairs inaddition to other financial officers and the directors of auxiliaryservices, human resources, information technology, procurement, publicsafety, governmental/community relations, and infirmary operations. Theexecutive VP also will serve as the staff liaison to the Board ofVisitors Finance Committee and to The Citadel Trust.
