Three New Associates Join Nexsen Pruet

COLUMBIA, SC – November 17, 2008 – Nexsen Pruet announced today that Larkin Ellzey, Amy Jowers, and Chris King have joined the firm as associates.

Ellzey will concentrate his practice in the area of real estate and work in the Columbia office; Jowers will focus on business litigation in Charleston; and King will work with the corporate banking and finance group in Greenville.src=img/Larkin-EllzeyR.jpg

 

Larkin B. Ellzey earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was book editor of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal.

She also held numerous positions with Wachovia in Raleigh, N.C., and Greenville, S.C., including assistant vice president. Jowers earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Furman, and her law degree, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was editor in chief of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal and a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe and the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court.

 

src=img/Chris-KingR.jpgChristopher Dayton King worked as a business counselor before law school.  While with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center in New Orleans, he also advised entrepreneurs on a range of issues. Additionally, he has held supervisory positions with Exopack Packaging in Spartanburg, S.C., and has experience in the printing industry as well. He earned his undergraduate degree from Clemson; his M.B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans; and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review.
