Deb Sofield to emcee “Empowering SC’s Small Businesses” at Hotel Hartness in Greenville

Tickets and sponsorships remain available for the Mom & Pop Alliance of SC’s 2026 annual dinner, “Empowering SC’s Small Businesses,” set for Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hotel Hartness in Greenville.

Deb Sofield will serve as emcee, and Michael Reichenbach, Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, will deliver the keynote address. The evening includes a chef-prepared dinner, wine and dessert.

The dinner is the organization’s signature event of the year, drawing family business owners, state legislators and community leaders. Previous dinners at the Hotel Hartness have sold out.

Proceeds support the alliance’s advocacy at the Statehouse and the educational resources it produces for small business owners.

“This evening is a celebration of the people who open their doors every morning and keep South Carolina running,” said Diane Hardy, executive director and founder of the Mom & Pop Alliance of SC. “Family-owned businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they deserve a night in the spotlight. Just as importantly, this dinner puts those owners at the same table as the legislators and community leaders whose decisions shape how they operate every day. Those conversations, face to face over dinner, are where real understanding starts and where better policy follows. We hope the whole community will join us in honoring our Mom and Pop businesses.”

Tickets may be purchased by clicking here. Sponsorships are also available, and businesses interested in sponsoring should email [email protected]. The event is open to members and nonmembers alike, and attendees do not need to own a business to take part.
