Todd & Moore to give 5 percent of sales to Walk for Life

January 4, 2016

Todd & Moore has pledged to give five percent of sales to help beat breast cancer in the Midlands during their “Sport Your Pink” event, January 7-9, 2016.

The three-day sale benefits Palmetto Health Foundation’s 25th annual Walk for Life and Race for Life. The race, originally planned for October, was rescheduled to January 9 after floods struck the state.

“Todd & Moore has been a part of the Midlands for more than 70 years,” said Chuck Todd, owner of the Columbia landmark. “We’re proud to be able to do something to give back to our community and help in the fight against breast cancer.”

Sport Your Pink will kick off January 7, with an all-day sports bra fitting and sale. Later that evening, Todd & Moore will host a special survivors event from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. to celebrate the power and strength of all those affected by breast cancer. Janet Snider, a local advocate and survivor, will speak briefly, and Amy Kinard and Kim Hamrick of the Ta-tinis, breast cancer survivors turned friends, will be there with copies of their book, Forever in the Fight.

Proceeds from Walk for Life and Race for Life will be used to purchase 3D Tomosythesis (DBT) software for Palmetto Health Breast Center at Richland, a whole breast ultrasound system for Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge and a new mammography system with DBT software for the mobile mammography unit.
