Together SC announces Heather Singleton as first Peer Network Manager
May 4, 2026Together SC announced the hiring of Heather Singleton as its first-ever Peer Network Manager, a newly created role designed to strengthen and expand the organization’s statewide peer learning and connection strategy.
This position reflects Together SC’s continued investment in its 2030 Strategic Plan, particularly its focus on Convene, as the organization grows its network and deepens engagement across South Carolina’s nonprofit community.
Heather Singleton brings nearly two decades of experience working with public and private nonprofit organizations. Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, she earned her degree in political science from the University of South Carolina and has since built her career in the Midlands. Her professional background spans public service and the corporate sector, with a strong focus on brand strategy, storytelling, and fund development.

Her ability to naturally convene, engage, and support leaders makes her uniquely suited to guide our Peer Networks into their next phase.”
Heather has been actively engaged with Together SC for more than six years, serving as a consultant, Peer Network Leadership Team Chair, facilitator, and member through her work in nonprofit organizations.
In her new role, Heather will provide overall leadership and coordination for Together SC’s eight Peer Networks: Advocacy Allies, Black Nonprofit Leaders Network, Consultant Collaborative, Development Peer Network, ED/CEO Peer Network, Marketing Peer Network, Operations Peer Network, and Volunteer Admin Alliance. She will work closely with staff liaisons to ensure each network meets its annual goals and continues to deliver meaningful value to members.
Heather will also:
- Oversee Peer Network programming and online communities
- Coordinate with the Learning Programs and Events Manager to align webinars, in-person events, and annual symposia
- Serve as Staff Liaison for the Black Nonprofit Leaders Network
- Strengthen policies, processes, and overall effectiveness of the Peer Network model
- Reporting to the Vice President & COO, this role represents a strategic step forward in building a more connected, responsive, and impactful nonprofit network across the state.
Heather’s commitment to community and professional development extends beyond her work. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and serves on the boards of the South Carolina chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, City Year Columbia, and WellPartners Dental and Eye Clinic. She is also an active volunteer with her church and the Camden alumni chapter of her sorority.
Known for her energy, warmth, and ability to bring people together, Heather is widely recognized as a natural connector and facilitator. She is passionate about helping others grow into confident, effective leaders, and her leadership will help ensure that Together SC’s Peer Networks continue to be spaces where nonprofit professionals can connect, learn, and grow together.
