Tony Williams: Keynote speaker at Generations annual luncheon

May 17th, 2017, at the TD Convention Center, over 600 community members gathered with one common purpose – to celebrate the incredible work and mission of Generations Group Home.
Infinity’s founder and President, Tony Williams, was introduced as the Keynote speaker and greeted the crowded ballroom with his signature smile. In just a few, poignant minutes, Mr. Williams shared the story of a young man with incredible spunk and charisma, his experience growing up in the Greenville area, and his ascent within the world of radio and marketing to begin the company that had brought several young people to celebrate Generations Group that day.
Tony is well-known for his charm and delightful affect. That day, it was his compassion and servant-leadership that captivated the crowd. His path led him to invest in his home community and to support the careers of young people who had survived and surpassed unimaginable circumstances. His own experience as a “hard-times case” scholarship student reinforced that desire. He has since established a scholarship fund with Greenville Technical College and has supported Greenville-area nonprofits such as Generations and the Julie Valentine Center with his time, talent, and treasure.
Tony’s message to the gathered community, his own employees, and the Generations Group members present that day rang true: “Believe in yourself. Don’t allow another person’s actions to define you. Make your own path, and surround yourself with people who believe in your dreams.”
