Top National Executives participate in second annual Directors’ Institute

National Association of Corporate Directors CEO Kenneth Daly to speak
CHARLESTON, SC – March 17-18, 2011 – Senior executives and boardmembers from some of the top organizations and corporations in thecountry will serve as the faculty for The Citadel Directors’ Institute(CDI). Hosted by The Citadel School of Business Administration, and inpartnership with the Research Triangle Chapter of the NationalAssociation of Corporate Directors, the second annual event is scheduled for March 17-18 at Charleston Place Hotel in Charleston.
“We have a panel that rivals any similar program in the county,” saidRon Green, dean of The Citadel School of Business Administration.“Participants will have the opportunity to engage with some of thegreatest businesses minds in the country, and to network with othercorporate directors. CDI is a must-attend for anyone sitting on acorporate board.”
The two-day seminar will focus on best practices in corporategovernance; developments in the legal, regulatory and politicalenvironment; and risk management. Chief Justice of the Supreme Court ofDelaware Myron Steele and Kenneth Daly, president and CEO of theNational Association of Corporate Directors, will deliver keynoteaddresses and participate in sessions.

- Simon Lorne – vice chairman and chief legalofficer, Millennium Partners LLP; previously General Counsel for theSecurities and Exchange Commission.
- L. William Krause – board member of Coherent Inc.,Core-Mark, Inc., and Brocade Communications Systems Inc; retiredchairman and CEO of 3ComDonna Dabney – vice president, secretary andcorporate governance counsel, Alcoa, Inc.
- Robert Spatt – corporate partner- CorporateGovernance, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP; co-chairman emeritus,the Tulane Corporate Law Institute.
- Dr. Charles Elson – chair corporate governance andthe chair of the John L Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, theUniversity of Delaware; board member, HealthSouth Corp.
