Towering Triumph: The Cup Challenge Invites Local Youth to Build Big at Laurens Library

April 21, 2025

Middle and high school students are invited to take part in some friendly, gravity-defying competition at the Laurens Library on Wednesday, April 24, during Towering Triumph: The Cup Challenge.

The event challenges participants to build the tallest tower they can—using only plastic cups. No glue, tape, or tricks—just creativity, balance, and determination.

The Cup Challenge is a drop-in style event running all day, allowing students to come by at their convenience to test their engineering skills and compete for bragging rights.

This fun and interactive challenge is free and open to the public and is part of the Laurens Library’s ongoing efforts to engage local youth in creative, educational, and community-based activities.
