Town of Lexington fines solid waste contractor

The Town of Lexington has fined our Solid Waste Contractor, Advanced Disposal, $32,000 in the last two weeks (August 2016) for not meeting the set requirements listed in our agreement.
The Town’s Parks and Sanitation Department is working with the contractor to ensure everything is collected in a proper time frame for our scheduled Tuesday Collection. Advanced Disposal has hired a new District and Local Manager to address these issues. Additional trucks and drivers will also be on the road to help expedite collection, along with updated routes to provide accurate service.
The Town of Lexington is asking residents to please report any missed collection to the Parks and Sanitation Department at803-359-1027.
