Toyota of Greer honored for March of Dimes support

May 6, 2013

GREER, SC – May 6, 2013 – Toyota of Greer’s Mark Escude and Bob Hogan are finalists for the 2013 Health Care Heroes Award for Business Philanthropy.

Escude and Hogan, co-owners of Toyota of Greer’s parent group MCE Automotive, have been nominated because of Toyota of Greer’s involvement in the 2013 March for Babies campaign in Greenville County. Toyota of Greer was a title sponsor of this year’s walk.

In addition to serving as a major sponsor, Toyota of Greer challenged all other Greenville area auto dealerships to join in its Fill the Front campaign as part of raising awareness of the March of Dimes.  In this campaign, participating dealerships competed to collect donations to March of Dimes.  The goal was to Fill the Front windows of each dealership with March of Dimes’ paper sneakers honoring each individual donor.

The Health Care Heroes award honors those who show an exemplary passion for healthcare and compassion for patients as well as honoring those who are selfless, courageous and inspiring.

The award is being giving by GSA Business as part of their 2013 Upstate Health Care Heroes Awards.  The winner (hero) will be announced at an award ceremony on Thursday, May 16 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville.
