Transdev contributes $20,000 to United Way’s flood recovery efforts

United Way of the Midlands recently received a $20,000 donation to its flood recovery efforts from Transdev, contract operator of local transportation system The COMET.

“The COMET has been a critical community partner in our flood relief and recovery efforts here in the Midlands,” said President and CEO of United Way, Mac Bennett. “Since day one of the disaster they have helped us with a variety of needs, from transporting people to and from shelters to delivering supplies to those in need. It’s been wonderful to have the support of The COMET as well as their operator Transdev.”

The money will be used toward United Way’s flood recovery efforts, which is already under way with a $100,000 investment in ReBuild Together, a home rebuild initiative led by Home Works of America and St. Bernard Project.
