Transitions receives $50,000 grant from AgFirst

COLUMBIA, SC – December 21, 2012 – Mr. Charl Butler, Chief Financial Officer of AgFirst, presented a $50,000 check to Transitions’ Board Member John Folsom and Chief Executive Officer, Craig J. Currey, to help the homeless recovery center continue with its mission. 

We are very happy about the generosity of one of our new business neighbors, said Transitions CEO, Craig Currey, The money could not come at a better time for us and will be put to good use.  Mr. Currey went on to say, It is through the support of concerned community members, be they corporations, individuals, civic groups, or houses of worship, that Transitions will be able to provide the services and tools for the homeless of the Greater Midlands area to improve their lives, move them from the streets with gainful income and permanent housing.

The primary goal of Transitions is to move people from homelessness to permanent housing. Various strategies and types of housing are used to help stabilize individuals living on the street and enroll them in services designed to stabilize their lives, increase their income, and help them secure permanent housing.
