Turner Padget attorney named among statewide leaders in the law

Turner Padget announced that its Florence office managing shareholder, J. René Josey, has been chosen as an honoree by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly for its 2017 Leadership in Law award. The recognition profiles individuals whose leadership, both in the legal profession and in the community, has made a positive impact on the state. Josey will be recognized at an awards dinner on March 24 at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, S.C.
In addition to leading Turner Padget’s Florence office, Josey is a member of the Business Litigation team. He counsels clients in a wide range of civil and criminal trial and appellate litigation. In addition to the private practice of law, Josey has served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of South Carolina School of Law.
An active member of the community, Josey has served in his church as well as numerous charitable and volunteer organizations, including the Masterworks Choir and Central United Methodist Church. Josey is also president-elect of the South Carolina Bar Foundation, the charitable affiliate of the South Carolina Bar.
