Turner Padget Elects Three Shareholders

COLUMBIA, SC – January 9, 2013 – Turner Padget has elected Brad B. Easterling, Mark B. Goddard, and J. Jakob Kennedy as shareholders of the firm. 

Easterling practices in the area of workers’ compensation law, Goddard concentrates his practice in the area of business litigation, and Kennedy practices in business litigation, employment law and professional liability.

Mr. Kennedy joined the firm’s Florence office in 2005.   He graduated from the University of South Carolina, magna cum laude, in 2001 and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2004.  He is a member of the South Carolina and Georgia bars.  In 2012, Jake was named a South Carolina Rising Star by the Super Lawyers rating service.  Jake focuses his practice on direct representation of businesses and individuals. 

title=Mr. Goddard is a resident in the Myrtle Beach office after practicing law in the Columbia office for six years.  Mark graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina in 2002 and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2005.  Mark focuses his practice on disputes involving large corporations, small businesses, and individuals. 

 

 

title=Mr. Easterling is based in the firm’s Greenville office.   Brad began his career as a judicial law clerk to former Circuit Court Judge James E. Brogdon, Jr. of Marion, S.C.  Prior to joining Turner Padget in 2005, Brad practiced with two well-respected defense firms in South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University  in 1998 with a B.S. in civil engineering and received his Juris Doctor in 2002 from the Vermont School of Law. He is an active member of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association.
