Turner Padget expands with addition of Zack Ohanesian and Carly Finkenstadt

Turner Padget announced the addition of Associate Zack B. Ohanesian to the firm’s Columbia office and Associate Carly B. Finkenstadt to the firm’s Greenville office. Ohanesian joins the Workplace Law practice group and will support the Workers’ Compensation Defense team by partnering with employers of all sizes and insurance companies to provide workers’ compensation defense and resolution across South Carolina. Finkenstadt joins the Insurance Litigation practice group and will support the Insurance Litigation team by representing insurance companies and insureds and providing claim handling advice, and defending insureds from a variety of claims prior to and during litigation.

Zack B. Ohanesian

Zack B. Ohanesian
Ohanesian will support the Workers’ Compensation Defense team by performing extensive legal research, drafting settlement agreements, organizing defense strategies and providing representation for clients in South Carolina. Prior to joining Turner Padget, Ohanesian was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Courtney Clyburn Pope. In this role, he focused on performing legal research on a variety of civil and criminal matters, drafting judicial opinions for matters before the court and assisting with preparation for upcoming motions and trials. While in law school he received the CALI Award for Taxation of Property Transactions and Trial Advocacy. Ohanesian has also served as a legal extern for the Richland County Public Defender and a law clerk for South Carolina Legal Services and Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Carly B. Finkenstadt

Carly B. Finkenstadt
Finkenstadt will support with the Insurance Litigation team and focus on insurance claims counsel and litigation including personal injury actions and various other tort claims. Through her defense, she will conduct depositions, mediations, hearings and examinations. Prior to joining Turner Padget, Finkenstadt worked in the Eighth Circuit Public Defender’s Office and the Fifth Circuit Public Defender’s Office as an assistant public defender. There, she independently represented clients in General Sessions Court and served as first chair for a summary court jury trial. Finkenstadt has also served as a law clerk, having drafted demand letters, complaints and memorandums to secure workers’ compensation benefits for clients.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
