Executive Director Lisa Cole received the prestigious Katharine Heath Manning Perry Award
At Turning Pages SC, the state’s oldest adult literacy council, Cole has demonstrated unwavering commitment to accessible education. Under her leadership, the council reignited its free tutoring programs, re-branded its image, recruited almost 100 new volunteers and secured multiple grants.
“We are so proud of Lisa,” said Emily Davison, Turning Pages SC Community Engagement Chair and fellow league member. “Her dedication is an inspiration to all of us at the council. We are proud to have her as our Director.” Cole was formally honored at the Junior League of Columbia’s General Membership Meeting at Segra Park in May 2023.
