Two YMCA of Greenville executives recognized for business and community impact

Barbie Jefferson listed in TALK’s 25 Most Beautiful Women in the Upstate; MaryEllis Petrosian named to Greenville Business Magazine’s Best & Brightest 35 and Under
The YMCA of Greenville shared that two of its executives have been named among standout business and community leaders in the Upstate by local publications. TALK Greenville has named Barbie Jefferson among its 25 Most Beautiful Women in the Upstate, a list which honors women who make the community a more beautiful place by the way they lead their lives in service to others. Greenville Business Magazine selected MaryEllis Petrosian to join this year’s Best & Brightest 35 and Under, a list which recognizes young professionals who are rising stars in the business community.
Jefferson serves as the YMCA of Greenville’s chief financial officer. “I have found a deep sense of purpose in the work I do for the Y,” she said. “I love being a leader for an organization that changes lives – both for our members and for those we serve in the community.”
As executive director of the YMCA of Greenville Foundation, Petrosian is responsible for the development of the Y’s endowment board and committees, volunteer activities, and the board’s policies and programs. “Each day, I have the privilege of working to improve Greenville with an organization that emphasizes caring, honesty, respect and responsibility,” said Petrosian on the YMCA of Greenville. “Our community is constantly changing, but these pillars to empower future generations, to treasure each individual and family in our community, are daily reminders of why nonprofit work is crucial.”
