COLUMBIA, SC – U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson congratulates Pelion Middle Family Consumer Science eighth-graders for participating in the SIFMA Foundation Capitol Hill Challenge. During the 14-week challenge, which organizes middle and high school into teams by congressional district and state, students learn about financial literacy and develop a better understanding of government.

Teams invest a hypothetical $100,000 in listed stocks, bonds and mutual funds to maximize the return of their portfolios.
