UBS advisor teams in South Carolina named to the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams list

UBS Wealth Management USA announced today that The Parham, Arrowood, Bragdon Team and The Alpha Group, advisor teams based in the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office, have been named to the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams list for 2023. The teams ranked sixth and seventh in the state, respectively.

The Parham, Arrowood, Bragdon Team is led by Financial Advisors Kenneth Parham, Bert Arrowood and William Bragdon. The Alpha Group is led by Financial Advisors Jeff Allen, Steve Armaly, Brian Blackburn, Michael Lee and Michael Shain.

Kenneth Parham has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years. Kenneth and his team are members of the firm’s exclusive Institutional Consulting division, and he was one of the original 13 members of the Council for Religious Organizations.

Bert Arrowood’s background is in investment management, asset allocation, sustainable income and estate preservation. He conducts educational seminars for high net worth families, nonprofit agencies and associations nationwide, and participates in finance-related broadcasts on South Carolina’s public ETV network. He is a frequent speaker on topics such as estate and tax planning, planned giving strategies and methods for seeking predictable income.

William Bragdon has over 17 years of experience in the industry serving the unique needs of endowments, foundations and high net worth families. William has diverse experience in commercial real estate, investment analysis, family legacy planning, endowment development, investment policy and spending policy structure and retirement planning.

The Alpha Group
Jeff Allen works closely with clients to help them live more and worry less about their finances. He has been an advisor with UBS since 2007. His experience advising hundreds of clients over the last two decades has allowed Jeff to develop a specific skill set in trust and estate planning strategies for high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals and families.

Fueled by his passion for helping people and analytics, Steve Armaly oversees new relationships and financial planning within the team. Steve was ranked as a “Top Advisor” in South Carolina by Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors in 2020 and 2021. The Forbes rating is compiled by Shook Research and awarded annually in April based on information from a 12 month period ending June of the prior year. Brian Blackburn has been awarded the designation of Wealth Advisor, having completed over 150 hours of advanced training in a comprehensive interdisciplinary learning program. This program focuses on helping advisors connect more deeply with clients and provides education on the following wealth management topics: investments, liabilities, insurance, executive compensation, protection strategies, qualified retirement plan and individual retirement account distributions, business succession planning, gifting to children and descendants, charitable gifting and distribution of wealth at death.

As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Michael Lee focuses on high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals, families and private foundations. During his 30+ years career at UBS and other financial services organizations, he has gained knowledge of the most sophisticated wealth management techniques and worked exclusively with a select group of clients to provide private planning, trust and estate planning, philanthropic services, concentrated stock management and tax minimization strategies.

Michael Shain works to provide his clients with individualized portfolio solutions designed to fulfill their specific goals and needs. He specializes in retirement planning, education funding, charitable giving and estate planning strategies.
