UCW Logistics hires Blum as Director of Business Development to grow customer base and increase revenue

UCW Logistics, a leading North American third-party logistics provider headquartered in Greenville, SC, announced the hiring of trucking industry leader, Chris Blum, as Director of Business Development. Blum will work closely with the UCW Logistics sales team to bring new customers and opportunities and ultimately grow overall revenue.
Chris Blum has over 20 years of experience in the trucking and logistics industry with companies including Landstar, Greatwide Truckload Management, Transportation Insurance Advisors, and Medallion Transport. Blum joins UCW Logistics from Landstar where he served in a similar capacity. Previously, Blum was recognized as Rookie of the Year in 2020 by Transportation Insurance Advisors. Other accomplishments include being the recipient of the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Distinguished Service Award in 2009. And, in 2010, Blum received a certificate of achievement from the 834th transportation battalion for his role in a military equipment exercise in San Diego. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Blum’s experience in operations and business development, to go along with the relationships he already has within the industry, will be instrumental in helping contribute to the future growth of UCW Logistics. “Chris has a proven track record in our industry, and we are happy to have him join our team as we continue to drive growth and value to clients daily,” said Rob Allgary, VP of Sales.
