United Community Bank Adds Experienced Financial Advisor in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC – United Community Bank welcomes financial advisor Kevin Mertens as a member of the United Community Advisory Services group. Mertens has an extensive background in the financial services industry in the Greenville area and will be a great addition to the United team.

Mertens has more than 30 years of investment management and banking experience. Prior to joining United Community Bank, Mertens served as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at TD Wealth. He has also worked with VM Manning & Co. as Vice President and Portfolio Manager and Scott & Stringfellow as Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group. Mertens spent 12 years on Wall Street, where he worked for Cowen & Co. In addition to his banking experience, Mertens served on the staff of former United States Senator Fritz Hollings.

Mertens, a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, resides in Greenville, S.C. with his family.
