United Community Bank Announces Top Performers for First Quarter

GREENVILLE, SC – United Community Bank is recognizing 12 top performing individuals and bank teams who exhibited sales and service excellence during the first quarter. The recognition is part of the bank’s quarterly Sales and Service Champion program.

“As we kick off what we hope will be a very successful year for United Community Bank, we are pleased to honor these dedicated employees,” said Bill Gilbert, President of Community Banking for United Community Bank. “Our employees’ commitment to service is what makes us successful, and we are grateful for the enthusiasm and hard work they bring to their jobs every day.”

The following individuals are being recognized as the top producers for the first quarter:

  • Jay Burkett, Top Financial Advisor. Burkett is based in Cleveland, Ga. but also works throughout the North Georgia region in Gainesville, Murrayville and Oakwood.
  • Carolyn Swanner, Top Mortgage Producer. Swanner is based in Hendersonville, N.C., but also serves the Etowah area.
  • Gaye Reese, Top Producer in Customer Derivatives. She serves the Savannah area.
  • Will White, Top Producer in Customer Derivatives. White is based in Gainesville, Ga. and serves customers in Northeast Georgia.

During the first quarter, United Community Bank encouraged customers to consider and utilize additional bank products and services to help them save more and invest their money wisely. Two employees were recognized as leaders for their efforts in this program:  Bridgette Reynolds, in Marietta, Georgia and Shelly Weaver of Canton, Georgia.

Among the bank’s 104 offices throughout the southeast, the top six bank teams recognized during the first quarter include offices in Savannah (White Bluff), Savannah (Bull Street), Powder Springs, Gainesville and Tyrone, Georgia; and Greenville, South Carolina.

Top performing individuals and bank teams were honored April 23 at a Sales and Service Award luncheon. Top performing individuals received a framed certificate and lapel pin. The winning bank teams will receive a catered group lunch, framed certificate and traveling trophy for display in the office.

Additionally, the Bank kicked off a new program that will occur quarterly. One Champion was randomly selected from the group to receive a $500 donation toward the charity of their choice to be awarded within their community. This quarter’s winner was the Powder Springs Branch Manager, Tracie Davis. Davis selected Bullock Hope House in Powder Springs as the recipient of the donation.
