United Community Bank continues support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas

March 29, 2021

United Community Bank in Greenville recently donated $1,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas. A portion of this donation came from the sale of gloves and socks through United’s sponsorship of Ice on Main, the city’s only open-air ice rink. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the beloved tradition and United returned as presenting sponsor for the eighth consecutive year.

“We are proud to give back to our communities—not only with this donation but through our sponsorship of a fun, family activity,” said Michelle Seaver, United Community Bank President of Greenville and Spartanburg Counties. “I want to thank the skaters for purchasing gloves and socks throughout the Ice on Main season. It is because of their generosity that we are able to make this contribution. This is a true example of our organization’s goal of coming together for good to make a positive impact on those around us.”

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas is a place where families can go and focus on their critically ill child in a quality environment instead of worrying about the expenses and logistical burdens of where to stay during treatment. This donation will help support the organization’s mission and provide support for the families who need a place to stay during their child’s hospital treatment.
