United Community Bank donates more than $20,000 to Be an Angel! Program

United Community Bank is proud to announce its Upstate teams have donated $20,700 to Greenville County Foster Parent Association’s Be an Angel! Program. The donated funds were collected from United team members and customers who visited participating branch locations. Approximately 170 foster children will benefit from the donation.

“It is always an honor to help children in our community experience the joy of the holiday season,” said Michelle Seaver, President of Greenville, Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties for United Community Bank. “This is a tradition that we hold close to our hearts and we are so thankful that we’re able to provide a bit of joy during such a challenging year.”

As a result of the global health pandemic, the Be an Angel! Program requested that only gift cards and monetary contributions be made this year as opposed to the traditional method of purchasing gifts for children. The donations will be divided, and parents of the Greenville County Foster Parent Association will shop for their individual children.
