United Community Bank Small Business Lending Expert to Testify Before Congress

Rich Bradshaw, President of Specialized Lending, to Address Small Business Subcommittee

GREENVILLE, SC – Rich Bradshaw, president of specialized lending with United Community Bank, has been asked to testify before the Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access in the United States House of Representatives.

Bradshaw will represent both United Community Bank and the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL) at the hearing on March 26. A primary focus of the testimony will be on how the banking industry can reach underserved markets, including veterans.

“We are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish in our specialized lending division at United Community Bank,” said Bradshaw. “I look forward to sharing our experiences with the legislators who will be able to effect real, positive change in our industry.”

Bradshaw leads the Small Business Administration (SBA) lending program at United Community Bank. He joined the Bank in 2014, bringing his nearly 25 years of experience in the lending to the team. Over the past several months, he has spearheaded the production and personnel growth of the specialized lending program at United Community Bank. The specialized lending team has grown to 30 members and contributed significantly to the positive financial performance of the Bank in 2014.

The Subcommittee is part of the House Committee on Small Business, which is chaired by Congressman Steve Chabot, R-OH.
